Then, I had a very creamy green smoothie for my morning fix. Bliss, while R and I wait for the nephew to arrive for two days of babysitting while his grandma is away for holiday.
Passionfruit, fuji apple, pear and a big handful of basil and mint. |
Cut into pieces, softer fruits at the bottom and a glass of water. |

Basil & Mint Harvest from the balcony garden. Botak plant now. |
Passionfruit, Apple, Pear, Basil and Mint Smoothie
Makes 2 glasses
1 Passionfruit
1 Fuji apple
1 Pear (it must be ripe = soft)
Big handful of basil and mint (stalks removed)
Honey to taste (optional)
1 glass of water
Cut fruits. Place the softest fruit at the bottom of blender. Add herbs, honey followed by a glass of water. Blend away. It should look a pleasing green and smell wonderful. Add more honey if it isn't sweet enough. If the pear and apple used are ripe, you don't need a lot of honey. I added honey to have a richer taste.
